Thorana Nelson
Thorana S. Nelson, Ph.D. is a professor of family therapy in the department
of Family, Consumer, and Human Development at Utah State University. She is a clinical member and approved
supervisor of AAMFT and teaches the Fundamentals of Supervision course at the AAMFT Institutes and has taught them
for UAMFT in Utah. She now resides in New Mexico.
Dale Blumen
Dale Blumen, M.S., supervises and teaches graduate courses
in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at the University of Rhode Island, where she served as
Coordinator of the Family Therapy Clinic from 1987 to 2011. She is a clinical member and approved
supervisor of AAMFT and teaches the Fundamentals of Supervision course at the AAMFT Institutes and in Rhode
Island.
Thorana chaired and Dale was a member of the AAMFT Task Force that made recommendations to
the AAMFT Board of Directors for changes in the Approved Supervisor guidelines in 2012.
